Our founder Deanna Ratnikova recently had the chance to join Charlie Pankey on Sierra Rec Now for his Built Outside series.

They talked about the story behind The GO Deck, but also about so much of what came before it—motherhood, running and cycling, finding community outdoors, exploring San Diego with a child and how those experiences eventually grew into an idea for helping more families get outside.

They also talked about what it's like to build a business when you don't come from a traditional entrepreneurial background and the people and community who help you figure it out along the way.

The conversation is called Getting Kids Outside: Motherhood, Entrepreneurship & Building GO Deck.

You can watch the full conversation on YouTube or listen on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Thanks to Charlie and Sierra Rec Now for giving us the opportunity to share our story!
